Fall Hiking in the Greater Delhi Area

The leaves are changing, and fall is on the horizon. We have a number of hikes in the greater Delhi Area that offer a chance to breathe in the crisp fall air and take in the beautiful colors of the season.

The SUNY Delhi Outdoor Education Center is a 40-acre park with trails that meander through old farm fields and dip down to the Delaware River. There is a labyrinth, a butterfly garden, fishing access, picnic tables and education markers sharing knowledge of native trees.

The Smith Pond Trail is an easy 1.1-mile hike with its trailhead on Route 28 opposite of Delaware Academy. It follows the West Branch of the Delaware River through grasslands and mixed forest.

For a trail that provides a full-body workout, visit the Community Fitness Trail. This half-mile trail has six fitness features and two picnic tables.

The Bramley Mountain Trail is a 4-mile loop that passes through an abandoned bluestone quarry, past small cliffs and caves, with expansive views at the top.

All of these trails are close to town and off the seclusion we love about the area. Take advantage of this time of year and the gorgeous trails that the Catskill 3500 Club have worked so hard to establish. See you out there.

Catskill Mountain Fall Festival

Maple Shade Farm is pleased to welcome you to the Catskill Mountain Fall Festival on October 7th and 8th. Due to insurmountable hurdles, Taste of the Catskills has been canceled. This event has annually taken place at Maple Shade Farm on the same weekend but will be taking a break this year with plans to come back in 2024.

Maple Shade Farm is filling the weekend with another fall themed festival at the farm you love with the fall experiences you’ve come to know and enjoy, with new vibes, too!

Come sip on local beverages, shop at the vendor market, play festive games, and simply chill. Bask in the beauty of fall colors while enjoying a drink near the pond or wandering through the yellow barn. Enjoy the day with the Catskills community so you can always say that you were at the first Catskill Mountain Fall Festival!

For more information and updates, visit Maple Shade’s Facebook.
